This handsome boy picks his person and loves them with his whole soul. Once you’re his chosen human, he wants to be by your side, involved in whatever you’re doing, always curious and always close. He’s a lap-layer and a bed buddy, but not the overly snuggly type—he just likes to be near you, soaking up the comfort of your presence. He’s an active little guy with plenty of energy and a playful streak, but he’s also perfectly content to relax as long as he’s touching you. He does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but he truly lives for his person. He’s still learning the finer points of mealtime—kibble isn’t his favorite—but he’s motivated by treats and will thrive with someone patient who can help him settle into a good routine. He’s not a fan of the crate and prefers being part of the action, and he’ll need a home without cats (he thinks they’re for chasing). He has a bit of a spicy side and can be nippy when he’s unsure, so he’ll do best with someone who understands boundaries and is confident guiding a dog with a big heart and a bold personality If you’re looking for a devoted shadow, a quirky companion, and a dog who will choose you with unwavering loyalty, this guy just might be your perfect match.

Meet Lulu! Lulu is a 6-year-old Basset Hound with the classic long ears, soulful eyes, and a loving heart. She is fully house trained, has great manners, and is not aggressive with food, treats, or toys. Lulu also does well with cats and enjoys playing with other dogs. Lulu loves walks and time outdoors, so she will need a home with a secure fenced yard where she can safely explore. She’s a big, strong girl and would do best with an experienced hound owner who understands the determined nature of scent hounds. Lulu is very vocal and reactive when meeting new people, barking loudly until she feels comfortable. With patience and calm introductions, she settles in and shows her true personality. Once she trusts you, Lulu is extremely affectionate and has a wonderful temperament. Because of her size and sensitivity to strangers, Lulu would do best in a home without young children. She is looking for a patient family willing to help her continue building confidence. With the right home, Lulu will be a loyal, loving companion full of classic Basset charm. She’s playful & a runner. She will test your gates! She needs to gain weight before she gets spayed & ready for a new home. She’s a champion garbage can diver. Lol.

Dottie is approx 3/4 yo & an active dog. She needs a buddy to play, squeaky toys & duck jerky treats are a must have. She’s still learning house training but crates but still needs a consistent schedule for potty breaks. She is a runner so must have secure fenced yard. She’s fully vetted. She’s wary of men.
