Mission Statement: Basset Rescue of Kentuckiana is committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of abused, neglected, and homeless Basset Hounds in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Our supporters and volunteers play a crucial role in our efforts.
Vision Statement: In partnership with the rescue community, we will continue the fight to end needless suffering and exploitation of animals through stricter laws and more efficient shelter systems.
Fosters play a crucial role in helping our Basset Hounds get the care they need until they are placed in their furever homes. If you are located around the Louisville or Lexington KY areas, or Southern IN and would be interested in fostering, please fill out the online application to get started.
Basset Rescue of Kentuckiana is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN 47-5399914. Our rescue operates through fundraising, donations and adoption fees.
There are adoption fees. Fees cover spay/neuter, shots, micro chips, & vet care. All donations are welcome as the adoption fees do not always cover the vetting expenses.
